Hot Italian Subs

Ingredients
1/2 cup Italian dressing or
Homemade Italian Dressing-
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 garlic clove, grated
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon thyme
¼ teaspoon sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 package of Hawiian Roll or for GF friends like me Canyon Bake house Hawaiian Sandwich Bread
16 slices of thinly-sliced pepperoni
12 slices salami
12 slices deli ham
8 slices cheddar cheese
8 slices Provolone cheese or 1/2 grated Parmesan
Toppings-
lettuce
pepper relish
banana peppers
tomato
red onion
Directions
Cut your Hawiian rolls in half.
Drizzle Italian dressing on the bottom side of the rolls, then layer meats and cheeses.
Replace the top side of the rolls. Drizzle remaining dressing on the top of the rolls.
Wrap in foil and heat in preheated 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted.
Unwrap and top with lettuce, banana peppers, pepper relish, tomatoes, and/or onion.
For a low carb version, simply layer your meats and cheeses on a piece of tin foil and broil until brown and bubbly. Top with Pepper relish, lettuce, and some mayo and it’s (chef’s kiss) delicious.
