Hello 30
On a call with my health coach yesterday she asked me to tell her some highlights of my 20’s and it honestly took me aback. I came up with some off the cuff answers of course, but I couldn’t shake that there was a lot more to dig into with that question.
I thought back on it throughout the remainder of the day and here’s what I came up with.
High’s-
Graduating college
Running two full marathons, countless half marathons, 10k’s, 5k’s, duathalons, and triathlons.
Traveling- South Dakota, California, Georgia, Wisconsin, Missouri, Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, and Texas
Marrying my best friend
Excelling in a career I never even dreamed of
Concerts- HARDY, Chris Stapleton, Big Smo, Dylan Scott, and honestly too many more to count.
Finding my group of friends
Watching my friends become Mama’s
Becoming an “Auntie”
Purchasing two properties
Leaving an abusive relationship and learning from that experience. The strength it took to get out of that was something I wish upon no one.
Prioritizing mental health and not being ashamed to ask for help
What I dream for my 30’s-
Spend more time reading and learning
Journal and continue to refine my writing skills
Continue to refine my daily gratitude practice
Prioritize mental and physical health
Have a healthy relationship with working out and food
Take more photos and be okay with being in front of the camera more
Get my spark back
Spend more time around a table having meaningful conversations with those who mean the most to me
Disconnect from the idea that “more” is better
Go on a real girls trip
Be the best “Auntie” I can be
Get more involved in prison ministry and advocacy
Complete the Grasston property (garage, barn, etc)
Take a honeymoon trip
Spend more time off screen and in nature (gardening, camping, fishing, hiking, adventures)
Become debt free
Add another rental property to the line up
Spend more time with extended family
Build my brand and small business
Tell the people I care about that I love them more
Give more hugs
Become a mom
Or figure out how we are going to row our family
My 20’s were great overall, but I also learned SO much about myself and grew so much. I can’t wait to look back at this list at 40 and see what I’ve accomplished
Cheers to the next 10!
